Leafy notices that Coiny and Marker were plushified and asks them if the experience felt disturbing to them while Pen says that it suits them. When Marker and Coiny arrive at the entrance of the forest, they come across Rocky, Leafy, Loser, and Pen. Coiny and Marker then set off in search of the Third Comma Stone. Pencil notices that the two have been plushified with Marker responding that many others (including Pen, who is currently 17 vigintillion dollars in debt) have been plushifying themselves ever since Leafy plushified herself. Marker decides to set out to retrieve the third Comma Stone and Coiny decides to join him due to craving some adventure. Pencil, who mistakenly states that the distance is 2,763 feet away says that she would not be willing to walk that far. ![]() ![]() I think the only thing I'm missing is the knobs. My intention is to share this model with others who may want to use it. The next picture explains this (hopefully).įoot glue block detail showing orientation of each piece This makes it so that there is minimal cross-grain gluing and the tougher end grain that wears well will be at the bottom of the cabinet touching the floor. For the vertical glue block, if I understand Chris' explanation, it will be in three sections as follows: the top section has grain oriented horizontally and has end grain to the right half of the foot, the second section has grain oriented horizontally and has end grain to the left portion of the foot, and the bottom section has vertically oriented grain which is cross-grain glued to the feet members. But one of them must be glued cross grain to the underside of the chest. ![]() The grain on the feet runs horizontal, so the upper two glue blocks can be glued directly to the feet. LAP file, underside of chest looking at inside foot detail ![]() The LAP file shows solid strips of 1" square blocking in three directions, though the book shows three segments in different grain orientations for the vertical glue block. One final thing I'm confused about is how the glue blocks are installed on the feet. LAP file, top removed to show top rails and front to back pieces ![]() These would keep the top drawers from tilting down when they are pulled out, but these front to back pieces are not mentioned in the text that I can find. The LAP file includes some front to back members between top rails. Pics from the book show I have the top rail position right, but that leaves the frame and panel back flush with the top of the rail - not let in to something. In the LAP model, this rear-most top rail is flush with the back edge of the sides and has a rabbet of its own to accept the back. In my model, the rear-most of the three top rails (that are joined to the sides with half-blind dovetails) is flush with the bottom of the rabbet cut in the sides. One difference concerns how the back is let in to the case. For the chest of drawers, there are a few differences between their model and mine and I'm not certain which is correct. Since I contacted them, they offered their own Sketchup models of the projects from the book. I contacted LAP about whether or not I could offer my Sketchup model to others and they said it was OK. Joiner and Cabinet Maker's Chest of Drawers Working on this model off and on for a few months, I used the Chris' descriptions (not the ones from the original text) in the book to guide me and when things were unclear I was helped by the book's many photos. While I have no plans (at least not right now) to build any of the three projects from the book, I wanted to create a Sketchup model of the Chest of Drawers in case I decided to try it later. In addition to the original text, Chris Schwarz and Joel Moskowitz give some historical perspective and Chris gives his account of building the projects. As many of you know, this book was originally written in 1837 and follows Thomas through his apprenticeship in a woodworking shop and through three projects he builds. A few month ago I read the Lost Art Press (LAP) book "The Joiner and Cabinet Maker" and really enjoyed it. ![]() ![]() Decolonizing Methodologies: Research and Indigenous Peoples. Frontal acceleration calculation (in direction of moving) is very easy (from 2D speed), lateral acceleration is more tricky (there have to be used also longitude and latitude). On the other hand, accelerations can be calculated also from GPS data. Due to high frequency of acceleration data, such smoothing can be done, but even then there may be some fluctuations. These data have heavy noise (see second picture, data taken directly from video file by /free) with amplitude around 8G which is caused probably by different kind of vibration and need strong smoothing before they can be used. As we can see, the acceleration numbers are quite close to Dashware results (6% difference) and far apart from RaceRender data (24% difference).Īlongside the GPS data, GoPro camera video has also stream of 3-axis accelerometer sensor data with frequency 200Hz. On the first picture there is the same video frame as in previous pictures. Gauges were used almost "as is" without big arrangement, main focus was to the acceleration data. ![]() To check data, I created video file using Telemetry Overlay (trial) program. Dashware data look anyway interpolated, because in csv file, data are changeing every 0.05 sec (20 Hz), but AFAIK GoPro cameras refresh GPS data with 18Hz, acceleration data probably more frequently. Now I will try to look, if I can see something in RR_data file. Hovewer Date-Tme clock itself was surprisingly off by abovementioned 0.04 sec (or two frames). As expected, coordinates, speed and accelerations changed accordingly. Then I tried RR with GPS data from dashware (picture 3). To find out, what is reason of these differences, I checked GPS data from Dashware using csv file. In Dashwaree start/finish line crossing times are set manually, so they may differ from RR times. Difference in speed by 1kph and also in current lap time are normal. Here is something wrong, kart must have aerodynamic wings like formula cars to reach such numbers.Ĥ. RR shows 2.47G (around 2.5G during whole corner). That shows that I can not go there much faster. Normal racing kart can reach here around 2.1G. Dashware shows here 1.9G in top of corner. Big difference is in acceleration data, more visible in lateral acceleration. May be the same time shift is also with other data, but with lat/long it is clearly visible.ģ. Closer look shows, that differnce is not in coordinates as such, but RR data stream is ahead by 0.04 sec (2 videof rames), these data appears on Dashware video 2 frames later. The clock is probably the same, RR just rounds seconds, Dashbord shows full seconds.Ģ. Date-Time clock output is different, apparently by 0.5sec. Second one is from RR output (exactly the same frame with same number). Slight differences in data were expected, but surprisingly there were some strange differences.įist picture is from Dashware output. Now I got RaceRender and tried to compare Racerender and Dashware outputs using last year GoPro files. So far I used GoPro 5 Black with Dashware. ![]() |
